In this poster i think the colors are very nice. the barn is a nice bright red and it really stands out. This will make settlers more intrigued to want to move there. there is also a very nice big mountain in the back ground, people will see it and want to move there because of the beauty the country has to offer. 

There is a big down side too this poster though. There is no little slogans to read or any facts,  all it says is "the last best west" and that wont tell the person who is looking at this poster much.

over all i honestly don't think this person did a very good job in presenting this poster, it has some nice parts too it over all it was OK.

Canadian West Poster Blog

the main colors in this picture are red, white and blue, the main colors of the american flag. this is to trying to convince the americans come to canada, and to show that there not (that mcuh) different than us canadians. the man in the poster is wearing a large top hat and wearing nice clothes and looks happy to be there, the poster makes it look like he is very succesful and rich and if you move to canada you will have a succesful and very good life. it also says "thousands of U.S settlers moved to western Canada" this makes people from all around the world know that people are accually moving there to have a better life and start farming, or what ever job them might have in Canada. it also says at the top of the poster "where there is money to be made you'll find a yankee." this means if yankee's are moving to western canada there is obviously lots of money to be made! (yankee's are people who love to make money.) there is a little bit of truth in the advertising but not as much as it apperars. I think the whole Yankee buisness is not very true, because not all people will make lots of money.
